Eclipse Director Announced!
On April 23, 2009, Summit Entertainment finally announced that David Slade has been hired to direct The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Meyer stated, “I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing Eclipse. He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I’m so happy that Eclipse will be carrying on with that tradition”
Eric Feig, Summit’s president of production, said, “We believe we have found that talent in David Slade, a director who has been able to create complex, visually arresting worlds. We cannot wait to see the Eclipse he brings to life and brings to the fans eagerly awaiting it arrival in summer of 2010.
Filmmaker Slade came to prominence as a director for his work on 2006′s engrossing film HARD CANDY starring Academy Award® Nominated actress Ellen Page as well as directing 2007′s genre hit 30 DAYS OF NIGHT which opened to number one at the box office its first weekend of release.

more new moon characters revealed!
On April 15, 2009, Summit Entertainment announced the actors who will be playing the roles of Harry Clearwater and Emily Young. Harry Clearwater will be portrayed by Graham Greene and Emily Young will be portrayed by Tinsel Korey. Harry Clearwater is the father of werewolves Seth Clearwater and Leah Clearwater. Emily is Sam Uley’s fiancée, second cousin to Leah Clearwater and Seth Clearwater.
Graham Greene earned an Academy Award nomination for his work in “Dances With Wolves,” and has appeared in such films as “The Green Mile,” “Die Hard: With A Vengeance” and “Transamerica.”

Volturi Coven Revealed!
On April 15, 2009, Summit Entertainment finally revealed the coven vampires of the Volturi – a venerable coven of vampires who weigh and impose the laws of the vampire world. The Volturi include Charlie Bewley as Demetri, Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius, Daniel Cudmore as Felix, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, Dakota Fanning as Jane, Cameron Bright as Alec, Noot Seear as Heidi, and Michael Sheen as Aro.
Jamie Campbell Bower was last seen in Tim Burton’s “Sweeney Todd” and is the lead singer of the band The Darling Buds. Daniel Cudmore played Colossus in the “X-Men” films, “X2″ and “X-Men: The Last Stand.” Dakota Fanning was last seen in Summit Entertainment’s sci-fi thriller “Push” and provided the lead voice in the animated feature “Coraline.” Chrisopher Heyerdahl has appeared in such films as “The Chronicles of Riddick,” “Catwoman” and “Blade: Trinity.” Tinsel Korey has worked on numerous films and television shows, from “Into The West” to “The Lookout,” opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt. She is also a singer/songwriter. Vancouver-born Noot Seer began modeling at age 13 and has lived in New York, Barbados, Guyana and New Zealand. She was a champion horseback rider prior to her modeling career. She made her film debut in the comedy “Head Over Heels,” starring Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Monica Potter. Michael Sheen last starred opposite Frank Langella in Ron Howard’s film “Frost/Nixon,” and played Britain’s Prime Minister Tony Blair to Helen Mirren’s Queen Elizabeth in “The Queen.” The award-winning actor was recently seen in “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.”

new moon behind the scenes pictures!
Today I recently saw some cool new behind the scene pictures of the filming of ‘new moon’! Seeing the set pictures made me more excited about the release date on November 20, 2009! I think everything looks good so far from looking at the pictures, but I think Rosalie shouldn’t be wearing a wig in ‘new moon’ instead of her real hair like she wore in ‘twilight’. Yes, Rosalie is going to be wearing a wig in ‘new moon’!!! I don’t think it looks that bad, but when she just bleached her real hair, it looked more natural. But I don’t blame her for not really wanting to keep bleaching her hair and going through a tough long time doing it on the set. For further information about the pictures click here.
the twilight saga: new moon wolf pack cast!
On March 23, 2009, Summit Entertainment recently announced some of the actors who will be appearing in ‘new moon’ in the wolf pack. The announced Native American/First Nation actors are Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, and Tyson Houseman. Each actor who is playing a role in the wolf pack is of Native decent. Chaske Spencer is Lakota (Sioux), Bronson Pelletier is Cree-Metis, Alex Meraz is Purepecha (Tarasco), Kiowa Gordon is Hualapai, and Tyson Houseman is Cree.
In ‘new moon’, Bella celebrates her 18th birthday at The Cullen’s. At the birthday party, she suddenly gets a paper cut from trying to un-wrap her gifts. Since Jasper is the newest member of The Cullen clan and hasn’t been practicing not drinking human blood as long as the others did, it becomes hard for Jasper to resist Bella’s blood with her having a paper cut. Jasper ends up launching himself at Bella and Edward jumps in front of Bella to protect her. Even though Edward did protect Bella from his own brother, he didn’t want to ever come across a situation where he had to save her from his own family. Edward begins to realize that leaving Bella would be best for her and he ends up telling her that he isn’t in love with her anymore (But we all know that’s a lie). When Edward leaves Bella, she notices that she feels actual pain by the fact that Edward left and that he told her that he didn’t love her anymore. During the time that Bella is alone without Edward, she starts to hang out with Jacob Black and her other Quileute friends. Bella’s spirit is soon rekindled by her growing friendship with Jacob Black and she suddenly finds herself drawn into the world of werewolves and nomadic vampire enemies.
The wolf pack members will be joining Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner in the upcoming movie on the big screen on November 20, 2009.

the twilight saga: new moon fan made posters!
I was recently looking for an official movie poster for the twilight saga: new moon when I came across some cool fan made posters. When I first looked at them I really thought that they were the real movie posters for the movie, and then I recently found out that they were fan made! I was very astonished by how great the posters were and how much talent that the twilighters had to make those posters. Check out some of the fan made posters below!

wow, they all do smoke.. who doesnt on the set? but oh well its their choice! anyway to the important stuff.. well im now super duper excited now!! they look a little tired.. yeah they should def. spike ashley’s wig she looked more awesome but she still looks great.. so taylor is gonna wear that long wig again? does he take it off somewhere in the movie like the book? anyhooziers.. yeah i cannot wait until the movie comes out!!! then eclipse.. then breaking dawn its gonna be so freaking uh-mazzzing!!! i hope they keep the cast the same the whole time! yeah im sooooooo super excited for this movie.. hope you get more pics!

So what do all you people think about how they casted ‘New Moon’? Like all the Volturi people?
Personally, I think that Michael Sheen is an absolutely perfect match for Aro but I’m worried about how young all the other Volturi are… like who are these teenagers playing Demetri and Caius??
Anyway, back to Michael Sheen. I saw him for the first time in ‘Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire’ as Emperor Nero and thought he gave an excellent and stunningly haunting portrayal of Nero’s madness and insanity. I think he will play Aro’s strange creepy-but-apparently-nice character well. He better!
I’m intrigued as to how they are going to get their skin right. The Volturi, that is. They are described as having thin and almost translucent skin. How are they going to make the young and beautiful men that are playing the Volturi look like this?! Are the Volturi not described as being old and frail-skinned in the book?? Does Bella not say that they look frail but are obviously not because they are like vampires…? I don’t know…
I love who they casted as Jane but I didn’t quite picture her like that. I imagined her like a bad version of Alice, them both being very small and petite and kind of crafty in their ways.
Jane is obviously very protective of her family, as is Alice. I think they are supposed to be a comparision.
I can’t wait until New Moon is out to see if they can pull off the new Volturi… like they pulled off their terrible casting of the Cullen family…
The only well-casted Cullens were Carlisle, Alice and Emmett. Robert Pattinson is not Edward Cullen.
Im a little worried about some of the actors playing the members of the volturi also but i think they did a great job on casting Alec because i think Cameron Bright would be great for that role. I think Michael Sheen did a great job in that movie also….at first i wasnt sure he was great for the role until i saw him in that movie. The members of the Volturi are supposed to have translucent skin and i also wonder how they will pull it off…especially for Miichael Sheen who is supposed to have very thin skin in the movie for the role of Aro. I think most of the twilight fans havent pictured Jane as the look of Dakota Fanning, because i surely didnt. But she might do a great job (which i hope she does or she will really ruin the movie). No offense, but I think they casted all of the Cullens perfectly especially Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. I think there is probably another guy out there that could portray Edward Cullen better than Robert Pattinson but I still think he did an awesome job and he was diffinately the person i pictured as Edward. I am so excited for New Moon!!! I hope these months fly past so it can be in theaters already!!!
